Target Audience:
This course is aimed at those with some previous knowledge and experience within the construction or cladding industries, who want to expand their understanding of those key issues identified below.
Outline:
The course will be of benefit to all building professionals responsible for supervising cladding packages on site and is particularly suitable for those working for main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, site architects and consulting engineers.
The course comprises 2 days of presentations covering such issues as:
- Types of cladding;
- Performance requirements and testing;
- Key materials, including glass and glazing;
- Procurement and construction.
Note:
There is some overlap between this course and ‘CWDC Introduction to curtain walling design and construction’. Delegates looking for a more in depth understanding of cladding and glazing systems should register for ‘CWDC’.
Although this course refers to both curtain walls and rainscreen, delegates working exclusively with rainscreen or insulated render cladding should register for the ‘Built-up walls’ courses instead.
