Target audience

This course is intended for those with an interest in understanding the specification and constuction of built-up walls.

Outline:

Built-up walls are a layered form of facade construction typically comprising a structural back wall and a rainscreen or insulated render cladding.  The course covers performance requirements, testing, supply chains, design responsibility and installation quality.  This course will identify key British, European and CWCT standards and guides relevant to these issues.

Note:

This course is specifically aimed at those working with rainscreen and insulated render cladding systems.  

Those delegates looking for a general understanding of key issues regarding glazed curtain walls and rainscreen cladding should register for ‘Managing the cladding package’.

Delegates looking for a more in depth understanding of glazed curtain walls and rainscreen systems should register for ‘CWDC Introduction to curtain wall design and construction’.
