The UK has set a legally binding target of net zero emissions by 2050. Emissions from buildings account for a significant proportion of the UK’s total, and therefore improving their performance and lowering their emissions is crucial for meeting this target. Cities such as Manchester and London have set highly ambitious target of 2028 and 2030 respectively for new buildings to be net zero.
What does this mean for our facades? How will these changes affect façade design and the materials we can use? We have three speakers from different parts of the industry to talk about this hugely important topic and the challenges (and opportunities) it will present.
They are;
· John Downes, Lendlease
· Damian Rogan, Eckersley O’Callaghan
· Stefan Rohrmus, Schueco
This free online event (via Microsoft Teams) is in place of our usual annual face-to-face Members’ Meeting in London. A link to the event will be emailed nearer the time.
Please note that places are limited and initially only one booking from each company will be allowed. If there are spaces available nearer the event, we will open the bookings up further.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but plan to record the event and will make the recording available to CWCT Members.
