Cladding Training Online (CTOL)

Cladding Training On-Line provides training and assessment for people involved in the design, manufacture and construction of windows, glazing screens and curtain walls.


This training and assessment package is being developed by CWCT with support from industry and the UK Department of Trade and Industry.

About the project



Cladding Training On-line may be studied privately or with support from your employer. It is envisaged that, for new entrants to the industry, the scheme will take three to four years to complete. 



Cladding Training On-line comprises self-contained training material and assessment procedures.


It has also been designed to provide a framework in which experienced technicians can train and update their knowledge.



Successful candidates are awarded a CWCT certificate.



Cladding Training On-line has been written by the CWCT with support from the Department of Trade and Industry and the cladding industry.

About the course



Cladding Training On-line is an on-line learning portal for those involved in the detail design of glazing systems from windows to curtain walls and roofs. It has attracted several hundred candidates from around the world. 



It comprises self-contained training material and assessment procedures on CD-rom. Webinars are not available.



Cladding Training On-Line may be studied privately or with support from your employer. It is envisaged that, for new entrants to the industry, the scheme will take three to four years to complete.


It has also been designed to provide a framework in which experienced technicians can train and update their knowledge.


Candidates may register at any time and study at their own pace; there are no time limits.



In Part 1 candidates may check their progress with on-line self-assessment before taking the formal on-line assessment and the final examination at an examination centre.


For overseas candidates, we arrange the examination at a convenient venue although any costs incurred have to be met by the candidate.


Successful candidates are awarded a CWCT certificate.
