About this event

Our 2025 AGM and Members' Meeting will be covering two key topics this year:

- The Building Safety Act.
- Facade Access and Maintenance.

The Building Safety Act (BSA) remains a key industry challenge, and our morning session will follow up on last year’s discussion on the introduction of the BSA. This year we will hear how the industry has responded, firstly from the perspective of the Building Safety Regulator, and then from an architect and specialist façade contractor. This will provide a valuable insight into the lessons learned following the introduction of this key safety legislation.

Our afternoon session will consider the importance of façade access and maintenance.Appropriate access is vital, not only for safety reasons, but also in relation to durability and sustainability – facades need to be cleaned and maintained to help ensure against premature failure and early replacement.

A draft programme will be available soon.

The day will start with an AGM and an update of CWCT activities. This event is always very popular, and last year’s event was a sell-out, despite the larger venue. We therefore suggest booking early to avoid disappointment so that as many of you as possible will be able to join us for what we’re sure will be another great event.

Tickets are currently only available to CWCT Members.

If you are booking on behalf of someone else, or booking multiple places, please add the names and email addresses of those who will be attending in the notes section prior to the checkout:

The event will take place at The Mermaid London. Please click here for directions.

The closest tube station to The Mermaid is Blackfriars.  Turn right out of the station and walk along Queen Victoria Street. Cross over Puddle Dock, and you will see a sign for The Mermaid in front of you. Go down the first flight of steps to the lower level and the entrance is a short distance a head on the right-hand side:

A review of last year’s AGM is available here, with presentations available to download via the Cladding Forum.
