A consultation was recently launched seeking views on:
- Sprinklers in care homes;
- Removal of the national classification system for construction products;
- Requirements for 2 staircases above a certain threshold;
- Paragraphs 10.6 and 10.7 of Approved Document B1 covering materials and products used in the construction of external walls.

We are particularly interested in the guidance relating to materials and products used in the construction of external walls, and we will be responding to this part of the consultation. If you have any views on this, please email them to cwct@cwct.co.uk by 28 February. You are also encouraged to respond individually.
