We recently met with ResponsibleGlass to discuss their proposals for an International Standard for Glassmaking.
The first set of ‘Preliminary Proposals’ have recently been published and are available here. They are now seeking comments and suggestions on the proposals that will help inform the next steps in drafting the standard.
In addition to covering glass production, the proposal also includes sections on ‘Design for Sustainability’ and ‘Circularity’, covering in-use impacts and end-of-life impacts respectively, which may be of particular interest in relation to architectural glass.
