In December, the government launched a consultation into the Future Homes and Buildings Standards. This includes changes to Part 6 (energy efficiency requirements), Part L (conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (ventilation) of the Building Regulations for dwellings and non-domestic buildings. Evidence on previous changes to Part O (overheating) are also being sought.
Further details can be found here:
The deadline for consultation is 6 March 2024.
Draft versions of the key consultation documents, including:
- Future Homes Standard notional buildings specifications
- Approved Document L, Volume 1: Dwellings
- Approved Document L, Volume 2: Buildings other than dwellings
