At the end of July, Alan Keiller will be retiring.
Alan has been at CWCT for over 25 years, and in that time, his contribution has been immeasurable. His knowledge, experience and common-sense approach to façade engineering will be missed.
Alan has been responsible for writing numerous publications, Technical Notes, other guidance, and has been heavily involved in façade testing. He was a great teacher and was a key part of our short courses and the MSc in façade engineering – he has probably taught many of you reading this today!
We will all miss Alan greatly, and wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.

I had the privilege of being taught by Mr Alan Keiller during my MSc in Façade Engineering, and his impact on both my learning and the wider industry was great!
Alan indeed had a remarkable ability to communicate complex principles in a clear, grounded way, always practical, always insightful. His contribution to CWCT guidance, TNs and façade education has shaped so much of what we do as engineers today.
Alan congratulations and wishing you a happy, healthy and thoroughly well-earned retirement. Thank you, Alan, for everything you have given to the profession. You will be greatly missed.

Alan, wishing you all the best in your retirement. You have been a legend of our Industry, unrivalled technical knowledge in so many facade engineering sectors but what always impressed me most was your humility, shyness, integrity coupled with your understated facade knowledge.
We will miss you Alan and wish you well in retirement – don’t be a stranger and stay in touch with us!!

A well deserved retirement for Alan whom will be greatly missed in our industry.
Alan always responded to all our technical queries with great professionalism and objectivity. We had many constructive discussions while I was one of his students at the MSc and I learned a lot from him.
Enjoy your retirement Alan and many thanks for everything you have done.
